The Easy Process for Addiction Treatment Admissions

Making the decision to seek treatment for substance abuse can feel daunting. To alleviate some of the anxiety and uncertainty, the admissions process is streamlined into three simple steps. The caring and empathetic team will guide you through each phase, ensuring you feel supported and informed every step of the way.

It starts with a simple call to find out if this is right for you.

Any conversation with Sana Lake is compassionate and confidential — whether you’re calling for yourself or someone else.  Family members often call first to gather information, get their questions answered and get help talking to their loved one about treatment.

Even if you or your loved one aren’t ready to start treatment immediately, the information and support give you peace of mind. Don’t put off getting the clarity, hope and necessary guidance to move forward when the time is right.

Step 1 - Private Initial Conversation

Treatment starts with a confidential conversation with a team member in recovery themselves. They truly understand the overwhelming emotions and uncertainty you might be feeling. During this call, they will listen to your story, answer your questions and discuss the different Sana Lake programs to consider.

Step 2 - Clinical Assessment and Financial Discussion

An assessment helps us discuss what programing would be best for your unique needs and circumstances and kickstarts your personalized treatment plan.

We can also talk to your insurance (without anyone knowing), so you understand any costs upfront. (In-network providers like Sana Lake are always your lowest cost option).

Step 3 - Arrival

After you're scheduled into a program, all you have to do is show up. We try to be as flexible as possible getting you in exactly when you want and can accept admissions 24/7.

I spent two hours visiting with the intake person this morning on the phone. He actually got higher staff to spend a few hours of this Saturday day off trying to help me get ready to attend treatment. I’m going to climb out of all this!

Your Questions Answered: Admissions Simplified

Struggling with drugs and alcohol is difficult, but finding the right treatment doesn’t have to be. Our admissions team is available every day to answer any questions.

Family members often play a crucial role in the addiction treatment admissions process. You can call on their behalf to understand treatment options and even check insurance coverage if you have the details like the company and ID number.

Consider also:

  • Encouraging your loved one to call for the assessment and to be honest.
  • Being supportive and encouraging throughout the process.
  • Helping them pack if going to an inpatient program.
  • Building a support system for practical tasks like childcare.
  • Driving them to the facility.

Most patients start treatment after honest conversations with people who love them. Don’t be afraid to take the initiative or to bring up the topic.

While our centers are highly sought-after and treatment groups are kept small, our operations are optimized as best as possible to minimize any wait time.

We usually accommodate same-day admissions and take admissions 24/7 because addiction treatment is truly life-or-death care. Make the call and schedule while you’re motivated.

It’s ideal to get your assessment and insurance finalized as soon as possible. That way you can schedule at your convenience.

When you reach out to admissions for help with addiction treatment, your privacy is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This federal law ensures that your medical information, including any inquiries about treatment, cannot be disclosed without your consent. Discussions about your health, potential treatment plans and insurance details remain 100% confidential.

Additionally, checking your insurance coverage for treatment does not notify the employer, policyholder or insurance company about your inquiry. It is simply a verification of benefits to see what treatments are covered under your plan. This process is common across medical services and does not indicate the specific reason for the inquiry.

By calling admissions, you take a confidential step towards recovery, with legal protections in place to maintain your privacy throughout the process.

The appropriate program is a combination of your clinical needs and what kind of treatment you want or are willing to commit to – whether outpatient or inpatient and what kind of detox is safe.

You absolutely have a say in your own treatment. We can provide clinical recommendations based on the research and your substance use and history and mental health and physical health status.

The goal is to provide a personalized treatment plan that offers the highest chance of successful recovery.

Of course! Seeing the environment firsthand and meeting the staff can help ease any concerns and give a clearer understanding of what to expect. It’s a good opportunity to ask questions directly and see if the atmosphere feels supportive and right for you or your loved one.

Admitting to a treatment program requires so many details that are best handled over the phone. Questions about substance use, your preferences on treatment and your medical background usually require back-and-forth.

A call allows the admissions team to ask necessary questions, address concerns immediately and provide a personalized interaction. Privacy and security of sensitive information are also better managed through controlled communication channels.

It’s not scary to call! We’ve been there ourselves – no judgment!
