How We Help

PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Tele-Medicine

For those who cannot or don’t wish to come to our center, we offer remote services via Tele-Health.

Partial Hospitalization Program

The Sana Lake Partial Hospitalization Program offers an intermediate structure and guided recovery services. With our recovery-oriented system of care, you will receive recovery support for any level of treatment you need. In partial hospitalization, the increased supervision of PHP will help you with accountability, feeling safe, and benefiting from genuine care. You will attend both individual and group therapy and receive 5-6 hours of recovery services every day—building a strong foundation for future success.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) supports long-term recovery by helping you incorporate valuable self-care tools, group therapy, and a customized program into your daily life. During this program, you will learn new skills and join an empowering recovery community and support staff. This is an investment in long term recovery.

Therapy

At Sana Lake Behavioral Wellness Center, we provide both individual therapy and group addiction therapy. In addition, each member is given an individualized treatment plan. This provides our members with a comprehensive “whole person” approach to addiction therapy. Moreover, we offer our members the best chance at Recovery for Life.

Because addiction often has a great impact on families and couples, we also offer a family therapy program. Our therapists educate members and their families about the effects of addiction. By doing so, families learn to support the member in their recovery and make specific positive changes as a unit.

At BWC, we offer two different approaches to therapy. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is talk therapy to help people learn to identify and change harmful thought patterns. Harmful thoughts lead to negative behaviors and emotions. CBT’s focus is on changing harmful thoughts to objective, realistic thoughts. For members with more severe issues such as suicidal thoughts, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is used.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment, known as pharmacotherapy, is the effective use of medications to treat addiction and promote recovery. The main goals of pharmacotherapy are:

  • Reverse the effects of drugs or alcohol
  • Control the withdrawal symptoms
  • Block the desire to use
  • Treat co-occurring mental health disorders
Psychiatry

Psychiatry offers therapy and medications to manage mental health symptoms and improve the quality of life.

The benefits of psychiatry include:

  • Changes to personal and work-life
  • Coming to terms with your illness
  • Controlling emotions
  • Helps process past trauma
  • Offers guidance and support
Peer Support

All certified by the state of Missouri, our Peer Support Specialists offer the unique combination of professional guidance and personal, first-hand experience. Throughout your treatment and into long-term recovery, you’ll learn from your dedicated Peer Support Specialist about making meaningful connections with others and developing new ways of communicating.
